COLTech recently had the privilege of visiting the Boys & Girls Club in Sacaton, located within the Gila River Native American Reservation. Our team spent the day introducing students to the world of FIRST LEGO League (FLL) robotics teaching them the fundamentals of programming, teamwork, and creative problem-solving through hands-on activities. Beyond robotics, we also assisted the organization with various projects supporting their ongoing community programs. The experience was both educational and inspiring, reflecting COLTech’s mission to empower youth through technology and service.
COLTech Robotics visited Clarendale of Chandler on November 1st, 2025 to share the joy of robotics with local seniors. Through hands-on lessons and demos, our team showed that technology is for everyone from ages 9 to 90! It was a day of learning, laughter, and connection, reflecting our mission to make innovation accessible to all.
This spring, COLTech Robotics brought the spirit of giving and fun to the House of Refuge! Our team came together to create and deliver over 150 Easter baskets, each packed with treats and surprises for local kids. To top it off, we hosted an exciting egg hunt, filling the day with laughter, smiles, and community connection. At COLTech Robotics, we’re passionate about using teamwork and creativity to make a positive difference beyond technology.
The COLTech Robotics team extended our spirit of service to the Pinal County Animal Shelter, crafting cozy handmade dog beds for pets in need. Each bed was built with care and creativity to help shelter dogs feel safe and loved while waiting for their forever homes. Our efforts even caught the attention of ABC15 News, who featured COLTech Robotics’ commitment to giving back to both our community and its four-legged friends. We’re proud to use our innovation and teamwork to make a positive impact one project at a time.
This holiday season, COLTech Robotics proudly partnered with the House of Refuge to bring smiles to local children in need. Our team worked together to make over 150 festive stockings, each filled with gifts and goodies to brighten the holidays for kids in our community. At COLTech Robotics, we believe in using innovation, teamwork, and compassion to make a positive impact both in technology; and in people’s lives.
On August 13th, 2024, COLTech attended the Microchip Masters event. The team showed off the robot and what we do as an FRC team. The team explained the competition and got to visit with Microchip employees and other FIRST teams.
Every year, our city has an enlightening innovation fair. In 2023, we went and brought our robot. We met many people from different backgrounds in STEM, and showcased our working robot in a grandiloquent manner.
As of 2025, COLTech now mentors Santan Elementary School's three FLL teams---Santan Dust Storm Chasers 67334, Santan Lightning Storm Chasers 68104, and Santan Thunderstorm Chasers 68116. COLTech returned to San Tan every other Monday in November and December to continuously help them improve and thrive in the highly competitive FLL community.
We are also continuously helping out at the Bologna, Carlson, Hartford, Ryan, and Shumway Elementary Schools in our school district. We will be back to all of them soon. All together that's 9 elementary schools and 11 FLL teams we mentored
